Intermezzo on Central & Louise has the best wood fired pizza in town. 2nd The Luigi's recommendation for NY style. NY Pizza Express in Stallings also has decent NY style pizza on the East side.

Angela's in Mint Hill has excellent pizza. Try House of Pizza on Central or Portofino's for places close to you.

Rosarios up towards Concord off Poplar Tent is amazing and run by a guy who is an immigrant from Sicily. All the race teams go there, lol

Good to know!! I have some friends in that area and I'll pick some up next time im up there.

I would suggest 'NY Pizza' on South Blvd. They're pizza is as close to NY pizza as anything I've had in Charlotte.

I love the Chicken Bruschetta pizza at Rosarios.

Ah - Intermezzo is very good indeed. If you are open minded to the other foods and have a big group, I really encourage you to try some of the traditional serbian dishes. Great cocktails too.

I live up in Iredell and I've been know to make the trip over to Rosario's with my son to enjoy a pizza there. The place doesn't look like much, but we've never left unhappy!

I also like the pizza at DiMaggio's, which is in the shopping center at Poplar Tent Rd and Hwy 73. A notch below Rosario's, but still good!

I have also heard great things about Bisonte Pizza in Matthews, but I have not been there.

Portofino is really excellent - I like the Eastway Drive the location the best.

Librettos has a NY style pizza option. I've had their pizza before but being inebriated I can't comment honestly, memory is a bit fuzzy.

Giancomos in University is great, they are close to NY style. I've tried the NY Pizza on South Blvd and wasn't impressed. It looked very much like NY style, but the crust was hard and didn't fold. I don't know if it was an off day, but I doubt I'll go back. Garlic knots were awesome, though.

I've had pizza from Portofinos (Park Road) numerous times, it's good but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I'll have to try the Eastway location, I've been told more than once that it's the best.
