Can somebody help me with this area in Huntersville. I am thinking of pulling a 6 month lease at Huntersville apartment complex on hunters rd. in Huntersville. I have 0 time to check the place out in person and was wondering if someone could give me info on wether or not that area is crime ridden, run down, etc. any positive info on the area/street would be great also. Thank you!
It is not a bad area at all. There is a grocery store close by and the downtown/main street section of Huntersville is less than a mile away. There is a park and ride bus right across Statesville Rd.
Those particular apartments are less expensive and therefore many lower income (compared with the rest of Huntersville) renters live there. If your budget allows I would go with Colonial Grand or Bexley Commons, both are going to cost more.
Thanks for the info. I've been looking into more apartments in the area, they just happened to be the cheapest for a 2 bedroom, however I'd pay the same amount for a 1 bedroom in a different area if I found it. I just want to be able to pull a 6month lease on somewhere until I get to know the area more/possibly buy a townhouse. I was just concerned on wether or not the area had a lot of crime.
The apartments there are a bit older than most in that area. You are close to apartments called Deer Hill which accepts affordable housing.
Your biggest complaint may be your typical apartment complex complaints.....noise, parking.
Crime, well not much more than other apartments in Huntersville.
The area has gotten a lot of new nicer hotels and commercial buildings built in the immediate area.
US 21 (Statesville Rd) can be very busy during rush hour as it is one of the main roads in the area. It is very close to I-77.
Huntersville in general is not a high crime community. Most people are there for the suburban life. To live, shop, etc, and still be close to Charlotte.
I would suggest going to google street view if you haven't already.
Would not be my first choice but not my last choice of apartments in the area.
