Less than a mile from "Sun Valley Marketplace", to be built next to and behind the Lowe's store on US74.

Well that's exciting news! I had been wondering what was going on with this shopping center, I hadn't heard any updates on it in over a year.

This map shows this on Wesley Stouts Road and Old Charlotte Highway. That's not behind Lowes, that's near the movie theatre. I think (it's upside down) It's on the opposite side of Wesley Stouts Road. I was told two years ago that land was bought on that side for Publix, then was told that there wasn't going to be a Publix in Indian Trail. Am I looking at it right?

Actually it's not. It is going to be directly across the street from Sun Valley High School. Most is open fields now.

And I certainly hope this shopping center includes a widening of Wesley Chapel Stouts all the way down to 74. As of right now that road backs up all the way to 74 during rush hour.

Two different things:

The Shoppes at Hanfield Village anchored by Publix will be going directly across Old Monroe Road/Charlote Hwy from Sun Valley High School.

A mile east, over the tracks, Sun Valley Marketplace, anchored by an enormous YMCA, will be built next to and behind Lowe's.

Old Charlotte Highway and Wesley Chapel-Stouts Road will need to be widened to four travel lanes in the future.
