Hi guys, I just wanted some tips or advice from you all, anything will help. Thank you. Ok we're a family of 5, me and my wife are in our early 30s and we have 3 kids ages 11, 8, and 4. We're in the process of trying to relocate to the Charlotte area from Florida, as of now my wife and I are currently unemployed but my wife will began working in the beginning of April. We having a difficult time finding a place to stay every apartment complex we have been to requires proof of at least 6 months of employment and must make 3 x the rent amount. As far as our credit, it's not the best but it's not the worst either, we don't have any evictions, nor felonies, and we have enough in our account to pay up rent from 6-12 months at least. What would you all do in this situation? Any advice would help, thanks guys.

Where is the job located? In Charlotte? In one of the nearby towns?

I'm just over the county line, in Union County, where a lot of folks live and commute into Charlotte for work. (Schools are great here, btw.) I don't have any advice about apartment rentals, but wonder if you've looked into renting a house from an individual owner who can go more on gut feelings than corporate restrictions and guidelines.

Thank you, that's not a bad idea, I'm definitely taking it in consideration.
