What are some of your favorite shopping destinations?
Are there any outlet shopping centers in the Charlotte area?
For furniture - outlets on Hwy 321 N, outside of Hickory, towards Lenoir. One of my favorite places to pick up furniture as well as accessories. Of course, that is not right here in Charlotte metro, but the savings are so substantial it is worth a trip. Plus, stop by the outlets on a day trip to Boone or Blowing Rock.
There are a few outlet stores at Concord Mills Mall in Concord. The closest outlet center is probably the Prime Outlets in Gaffney, SC, about 45 minutes south of Charlotte.

This is one of the worst outlets that I have visited. I was truly disappointed with the selection of stores and clothing selection. Maybe my style is a little forward, but the designs were very outdated for me.
I like going to the mountains, so I enjoy Tanger Outlets in Blowing Rock. Find nice Ralph Lauren, both clothing and bed linens.
Not an outlet, but T. J. Maxx and Marshalls (several CLT locations) for off-price clothing and accessories.
Orlando, FL for Saks Off Fifth and Neiman Marcus outlets
Gatlinburg for Waterford outlet
Prime Outlets in Gaffney - Brooks Brothers, Williams Sonoma
