Do you happen to know what the previous ratings were? If I'm not mistaken it looks like in general they may be trending up, especially on the NC side.

How are you determining "Charlotte area"? Lincoln County is in the metro. Kings Mountain straddles the Cleveland/Gaston counties line. It's both in the metro & not in the metro.

Are you not concerned with Blue Ribbon schools?

I did Mecklenburg County and the counties that touch it, but if you'd like to help expand the list to the counties further out in the metro, I think it would be a welcome resource!

For Lincoln County the Great School ratings (out of possible 10):
North Lincoln High: 8
East Lincoln High: 5
West Lincoln High: 4
Lincolnton High: 3
- No US News rankings

For Cleveland County the Great School ratings (out of possible 10):
Kings Mountain High: 8
Cleveland County Early College: 8
Burns High: 5
Crest High: 4
Shelby: 3
- No US News rankings

I'm posting from a phone right now, so data is a concern & I can't cut & paste. You ignored most of the high schools in Gaston County, as well.
