My husband might be transferred to his company's office in Mooresville from Florida. He also travels by air at least 6-8 days per month, so will be using the Charlotte airport quite a bit. We have a daughter who lives near South End, Charlotte and would also like to be close to her if possible. Is there a neighborhood with homes in the $400-$450K range that would be convenient to at least 2 of these areas? We prefer a nice walkable downtown or a golf club area. We have no kids at home so schools are not as important. Thanks for any assistance!

Davidson, NC. You'd have proximity to Moorseville for the day-to-day commute and the airport and South End would be 30 mins away. Davidson has a walkable downtown along with golf options nearby.

I second the Davidson and Cornelius area. Great area to live and perfect for your two locations to commute to.

I live in Davidson and use the airport pretty often. It is a good location and I think Huntersville and Cornelius are good choices too. I usually take early morning flights to beat traffic. The Charlotte airport is very commuter friendly in terms of parking and terminal access.

I'd probably suggest the Birkdale neighborhood in Huntersville. Has a golf course and is across from Birkdale Village (no official relation to the neighborhood) which is Huntersville's "modern" downtown.

Commute to Mooresville shouldn't be much if any more than 30 minutes, 25-35ish minutes to the airport depending on traffic, and 30ish mins to SouthEnd outside of rush hour.

Nice neighborhoods in Denver, NC. The airport is very close via Hwy-16 and I-485

Just be aware that the further you get south of Mooresville the worse the commute becomes. If he's going to be working in Mooresville more often than driving to the airport that's something to keep in mind. Personally I would not want to do the drive from any further south than Cornelius to Mooresville. I know many will say it's not that big a deal but sitting on 77 day after day will wear you out. Some days it will be OK and others it will take an hour to go 5 miles.

Davidson is a very nice area though with plenty to offer and would be a smidge closer to the airport than Mooresville but still easy enough to get to Mville daily.

Looks like Cornelius, Davidson, and possibly Huntersville would be good options for us. I would love to be in Charlotte myself, just to be closer to our daughter, but that's not practical with the traffic problems I guess. Thanks for all of your wonderful advice!
