My fiancé and I are getting married next month (October 2017). While we have been engaged for about a year now. During this year, we have had quite a few major things happen with family and we were not able to focus on the planning. So here we are, a month away from the date. Yikes!! We are looking for an intimate wedding ceremony. We will not have any more than 20 guests. We will not have a wedding party. We are leaning towards taking everyone to dinner/lunch after the ceremony in lieu of a traditional reception. Any ideas for our ceremony location as well as nice elegant restaurants to go afterwards would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

At this point you'll probably have a hard time finding an actual "venue." Maybe something like a park might be your best bet. Maybe Jetton Park in Cornelius and then Dressler's or Red Rocks at Birkdale Village for dinner?

Stagioni or Fig Tree in Charlotte seem something like you're looking for. You probably don't want a steakhouse unless you're country and probably don't want french unless u eat gray poupon.

There are some fine looking churches in Charlotte, I'm sure you can book one without much notice.

Luckily, the EPL is usually done by 2pm EST on Saturday and Sunday. La Liga can go through 4pm - 5pm. So an evening affair with dinner after is easy!
