Thank you all so much! This whole thing has been interesting with each company....one says salt water---the other one says chlorine---another one includes unlimited depth----another one doesn't-----eeekkkk! Almost done with quotes

Thank you 28079, have you experienced any corrosion issues?...that's my only concern with salt.

I buy sacrificial zinc anodes - see one option above (you can leave it in the skimmer).

Just wanted to say thank you to all who offered their input. We got 4 quotes and the verdict is in, we listened to each of you and we choose Superior Pools of Charlotte. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive...it came down to what we are getting for what we are paying. We felt their pool pump system was great, stone work was great, pebble tec, salt system, ground grading was evaluated and solutions made most sense and spa build seemed best for us.

So I'm looking forward to a summer of pool fun!! Thank y'all

We are also going with Superior Pools!! We, too, are doing pebble tec and salt and are seriously considering heated in order to gain another 6-8 weeks or so of use each year.

Hope things work out well for both of us

Yeah. Friends with pools are a million times better than owning a pool. Kinda like owning a boat but only half the headache.
