Define "old." Are you looking for only new construction????

EDIT: Wanted to add . . . are you actually in Dallas now or in Plano or Frisco - or another 'burb? I am familiar w/ market there as are several other of our members. If you can tell us what you are trying to replace, we may be able to help.

Being that we are also from the burbs of Dallas (Frisco) I can sure tell you, you are not going to get everything you want that you had in TX here. YOu get way more house for your buck in TX, and there aren't as many newer constructed homes here as there are in Dallas.

I agree. That is why we may be able to give you some suggestions . . . and why you are gonna need a really good realtor so you don't waste your time.

I like Firethorne a lot myself. I hope she comes back so we can help her - and hope she finds herself a realtor as this is going to be a very frustrating search on her own. The Dallas market is rather singular. A good realtor will help her keep from wasting time here.

I would have to say Verdict Ridge in Denver is a wonderful community. It is close to the new highway 16 if you are commuting to Charlotte. Also, Cowans Ford Country Club area in Stanley is beautiful. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in your search.

I would try the west side of Lake Norman. Denver has Verdict Ridge and Stanley has Cowan's Ford. I think you would be pleased with the difference in the amount of home for the money. The new highway 16 is close by with an easy commute into Charlotte.
