It looks ok, though, green and nice; thick. But it just sends out these shoots that the lawnmower misses. I end up walking around with hand-clippers and snipping the stalks. (Which I leave on the lawn, returning nitrogen to the soil or something.)

If I get rid of these tufty things on my lawn, I'll have no lawn left.

So, I guess this is one weed I'm keeping!

Thanks for posting that pic.

I'll do some more research.

I totally relate to the lawnmower missing these..it's so frustrating. My lawn guy kills them with MSMA. So, the strip between the street and the sidewalk is all bare now but relatively weed free

[...] "Zoysia" grass plugs. Anyone in CLT ever try them? Any feedback on "Zoysia"?

Do they all grow sideways? Tall Fescue is stalking at this time (vertical only), so be sure you're not killing your fescue. But if you do indeed have all this clumping, I would suggest starting over in the fall, not much you can do about it now. I'd rip it up and start fresh in September. I did in Sept. 06 and my dirt loves me for it. Green and Thick!!!!!
