I'm wandering if anyone could provide me with info about Charlotte?
We are planning to move from CT, but don't know the area at all. What are the "good" (safe) places, crime level, job opportunities for carpenters, schools, etc.
Please respond. I'll appreciate any help.
Hi,
My husband and I live in Greenwich CT, and I probably don't have to say how expensive is here. We are thinking about moving to town similar to Greenwich in size (like 70,000-100,000) that is safe. Also as I mentioned before my husband is a carpenter-he is self employed here and we are thinking what job possibilities are there for carpenters? Salary?
Should we think about suburbs also? What's the traffic? Schools?
While it can be done it would be hard to find a Home in the $70K-$100K range. You could possibly go with a townhome and yes for these prices I would look outside of uptown/downtown.
I can't comment to much on the schools due to my proffesion
Hi,
I meant 70,000-100,000 population not a price
If you are an agent how's the market now? Buyers/Sellers marlet?
So what are the good areas if you could say?
Thanks,
Magdalena
The market is strong here. I am on the fence it is as close to 50/50 IMO. The average listing I have normally is under contract within 120 days and there is a good amount of inventory for buyers to choose from.
Once again the hotspots are N. and S. Charlotte and the surrounding communities
Hi,
I meant 70,000-100,000 in population
If you are a real estate agent could you possibly give me some ideas about safe, nice place to live with job possibility as carpenter? Are there many Polish?
Thanks,
Magdalena
Yes, I got it. It's kind of hard for me to estimate how much money we can spend because I'm not sure where is the best place to go so my husband and I could get a job. Again, he is a carpenter and I'm an office assistant. It also depends on how much money we could make in those professions and so when I get the idea, then I could estimate how much we could spent.
About the property, we would be looking for possibly 3 bedroom house in good location/ not downtown/-probably would prefer suburbs. Since my husband is a carpenter we think about handyman special house- but not a complete tear down! The location is the most important for us!
Hi Magda, I'm Polish and my family is moving down to NC in march and I can't wait. You can find many polish families especially young ones! I think your husband will find a job because of so much construction going on down there. How is CT? Is it really that expensive? We live in NY and can't afford a house. My husband thought about moving to CT but we have no friends in there and can't compere. If you have any questions you can contact me on my e-mail adres.
