Default Job Fair in Charlotte

Does anyone know if the Job Fair's in Charlotte are decent? I am trying to relocate and am thinking about coming to the one in October if it is worth it. Do a lot of companies go? Has anyone had luck at one? I know job fairs are very broad but I am not from the area so it may be a way for me to find something. I am in the IT field however I only have my associates degree and 3 years experience so I am having trouble finding a job. Let me know if anyone has suggestions!!

Thanks!

Hello,
I just recently moved to Charlotte and I work in IT. I have my 4 year degree in Comp Sci. I also have about 5 years experience. I am currently looking for employment.

About job fairs. I am originally from PA and have been to awesome job fairs in PA (75+ companies)...but I recently went to one that I found out about through Monster (there were about 12 companies there), Family Dollar, Steak & Shake, Sprint, etc. There was only one that I wanted to talk with because I had recently applied for positions and I waited about 30mins to get in the door and about another 25 mins or so to talk with them. This job fair is NOT what I was expecting, but now I understand why they didn't publish the company list ahead of time.

There are plenty of recruiters that can help assist you in trying to find a position. Is the one in October at the Ramada and listed on Monster? I hope that helps.

My son went to the last job fair in Charlotte and it wasn't very big but he did end up getting his job from going to it! It's a good job and he's very pleased with it. I'd go if it were me!! Try anything and everything! Good luck!
