I am a recent college grad moving to the area to work for an acg firm uptown. I'm apartment hunting in uptown and was wondering about your experiences with the Goldrush trolley. Random concern...but is it usually a reliable source of transportation in the winter months when it might be icy or snowy?
Also, it seems like renting a condo instead of an apartment might get me more bang for my buck (according to craigslist)...has anyone had any good or bad experiences by going w/ the uptown condo route?? Just curious because I'm looking at 1 bedrooms in post gtway and camden, but the condos seem to get you a lot closer to center city with way better amenities.
Goldrush is pretty consistent, but it's more a convenience than anything. Worst case its a 5 block walk to most places. The winters are pretty tame around here.
Gold Rush is very reliable during business hours. I would have preferred if they did not install the wood seats in them because it is extremely uncomfortable but it will talk to you alot letting you know what is up ahead
Goldrush is fine as long as you only need to go up/down Trade or Tryon or within a few blocks of them. Don't make the mistake of thinking they run all over the city.
