I lived in a new construction built by Vann in the early '90's. Some things he did very well (such as bathrooms & kitchens - understandable considering his plumbing background).

But the house was situated on a slight downslope and the corrugated drains that were run around the foundation were not sufficient to route water around the house. When I sold it (when the house less than 3 yrs old) the inspection turned up MASSIVE water problems in the crawlspace: The insulation and joists were drenched and the crawlspace floor was a mud bog. It took about $4K in repairs and 3 industrial fans running 24/7 under the house for a week before I could get a clean termite letter.

MusicMax was married to the daughter of the owner of Love Homes. I heard from some people that know about the situation that he didn't maintain his drains and drainage and didn't keep his crawlspace ventilated. They were going through the divorce when he sold the house, so I'm sure there are a lot of sour grapes with that situation. I wouldn't judge Love Homes from his experience because his is biased (and didn't take care of the home).

Ever since I was in a Love built house and the ceiling fan fell from a 20 ceiling, I have questioned the QC process.........
