Can anyone let me know, who happens to be of the Hmong population in the Charlotte, NC. vicinity a number of things regarding information seeking? I was wanting to find out: the settings where information seeking and exchange take place; problems, which lead to information needs; problem solutions; barriers to information and social networking. This is all for class, so I appreciate any and all comments.

This link might get you started. There is a concentration of Hmong in Caldwell County, NC:
NC DHHS release: 500 Hmong Refugees to Come to North Carolina (http://www.dhhs.state.nc.us/pressrel/7-2-04a.htm - broken link)

There used to be a link for the United Hmong Association and the Hmong Radio station, but they don't either seem to be working anymore. Maybe someone from the Caldwell County (Lenoir/Hickory) area can help.

There is a neighborhood off Tuckaseegee Rd., just below West Mecklenburg High School that has a large population and a church.
