where can we unload our dirt? - Live in Waxhaw (construction, cost)

we have maybe 5 yards of dirt in my backyard that we need to dump somewhere, it's mostly clay I think.

where can I take this? I live in waxhaw.

you can take it to the dump for about $30/dumptruck, or, if it's suitable, advertise free fill dirt on Craig's list. Maybe folks will come get it.

Mention whether it's topsoil or structural fill. I assume the soil is not contaminated, which would require a different approach...

$30 will only be the tipping fee. The truck will cost you about $65 an hr., plus your going to need something to load the dirt.

A good option might be to walk onto a construction/landscape project close by and offer up a few bucks to make it disappear.
