If you had 700k to 900k and wanted a waterfront home on Lake Norman where would you look. We have looked at Cornelius but have been told to look at Denver where 'you get more for your money'. We are looking for a smaller home, I would rather have a larger lot and want to be on the water.
Would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions...

You are not going to get a large lot w/ a small home on LKN. That is why people are telling you to look in Denver.

ETA: You may find 1/2 to 3/4 acre on certain areas of the Lake w/ Mooresville addresses. What do you consider a large lot?

When I say a large lot I mean over 0.25 , I just dont want a lot that the whole home takes up leaving no yard for my dogs. Half an acre would be ideal.

There are plenty to choose from. There is one or two even in The Pennisula coming in around $820K with .3 acres. and that is just with a quick search....
