My wife's front windows motors have gone bad, and I need to get them fixed. Does anyone know of a good, reliable, not-gonna-screw-me-over Honda mechanic?
There is a great shop on Independence, too...can't think of the name offhand, but, they are Honda trained and reasonable. They are closer in the city...by the Vovo dealership if anyone knows....

These guys are located at 6177 E. Independence (704.567.7797), just behind the Napa store. THEY ARE GREAT! I've used them since moving here over 4 years ago and have never been disappointed. Their prices are reasonable and on more than one occasion they recommended against replacing certain parts if they thought it wasn't warranted. They will typically use genuine Honda parts, but when replacing my catalytic converter 2 years ago, they used another manufacturer to save me several hundred dollars.

Thanks, Tom...they are the ones that I was thinking of!
I know most people HATE the dealerships but we have used the Honda Dealer on South Blvd. a few times and they have been great and actually the same price (and sometimes cheaper) then the private shops.

My problem with the Honda dealerships in Charlotte (both of them) is that when you take your car in for a service visit (say 90,000 miles), they will give you a list of items to be serviced which is much more extensive than the official Honda service interval. For example, I called both of them and asked them for their x mile service cost and what it included. When I commented that Honda DID NOT recommend the additional service items, both dealers commented that it was THEIR (the dealer's) RECOMMENDED service.
IF YOU DON'T ASK SPECIFICALLY FOR THE HONDA service items, they will ********* every time. Unfortunately this is usual practice with many dealers regardless of make. I called both Toyota dealers in town for my wife's car and they tried the same scam. The difference on a 30,000 mile service was hundreds of dollars. They lost my trust (and business) for good. I'm sure there must be some ethical dealers out there, but I haven't found one.
