I'm curious about your thoughts on Lincolnton in respect to rural residential areas, say near the country club, as well as properties in the downtown historic areas.
Were you born and raised in Lincolnton, love it to death and still live there? OR Have you lived there, since moved and would never go back? OR any combination of the above...
What about the downtown businesses? Seems to be quite a few empty buildings and Going Out of Business sales. Yet it seems like such a neat downtown area, with the central courthouse square. Would you open a shop there? Would you want to live downtown in a renovated loft?
And what about crime, and break-ins, and personal security?
Please tell us YOUR opinions, good or bad....
We like what we've seen so far, but are unsure of what the community "buzz" might be.
Lincolnton is a great place to find a decent size home with acre or more of land at a great price. Plenty of homes for sale around 100k yet not to far of a commute to Charlotte. probably about 45 minutes. And mountains are within a hour. For rural try to stay on north east end .
The area in lincoln county that is going to be hit with development is any area near where they are rebuilding highway 16 in Denver North Carolina. That is area that is good to get a home for flipping for big profit.
My sweet heart lives in Vale North Carolina (a extremely little town within 5 minutes of lincolnton) and I live in Huntersville (across lincoln county line in Mecklenburg) and I like city like life and they enjoy the country that area provides
I agree with the downtown it very cute with way people park on the streets and drive around the courthouse like a round about. I think the area just needs to pay for a revitalization team so it has the right buisnesses into those empty slots. I dont think it a dead end city especially areas west of highway 311.
Crescent Resources the ones behind Ballantyne Country Club have developed a community with waterfront homes called "Sailview". It is upscale like most of Crescent's communities. They start selling half acre lots to 2 acre ones. Plus you get to build a costume home.
