I know with the economy down the tubes everywhere and with many employers still cutting back on payrolls, is the IT sector (networking technology) down there in Charlotte still doing well? I plan on moving from Baltimore,Md by the end of the year or early next year to either Cabarrus County or Fort Mill area I haven't decide on that part yet.

Better wait until you find a job before you decide on ANY area. The IT market here is worse than bad, but maybe by next year you'll have better luck.

The current opening that I have, for a Database Developer, I've had over 20 resumes for and each one has been really good. 3 Years ago I would have been lucky to get 3 resumes for the opening. That tells me that there are a lot of IT people looking for work right now. I'd make darn sure I had a job before I would move anywhere.
