Hello all !! Thank you in advance for your information ...

Curious about the schools in the above locations. We once lived in Waxhaw and had Sandy Ridge schools as our location. We moved several years ago and looking to come back. We've been finding homes all over the above locations and wondering how the schools are now, any good or bad changes, are any of them better. I know the locations are wonderful anywhere you are there, but trying to get a handle on this soon.

Thanks again!

Schools in the area are still very good. As a matter of fact, I just attended an Award ceremony at Marvin Ridge High. The program was to acknowledge students receiving academic letters (maintaining a semester average of 93>), perfect attendance, and to celebrate the success of students achieving a Level 4 on the Tenth Grade Writing Test. There were 550 students involved in this ceremony! The presenter acknowledged that MRHS had 22 students achieve Level 4 on the Writing Test (more than the entire county had ever had before...with 3-4 of those students scoring a perfect score!) I believe this speaks volumes about the quality of education in the MRHS cluster (which includes Sandy Ridge ES).

I am not a parent, but the parents in my n'hood (Price Mill) love the schools here. They walk the elem. kids to Wesley Chapel Elementary School (we have a trail from the n'hood to the school, which is cute, kinda like Pleasantville ) The older kids attend Weddington middle and high and everyone seems to be highly satisfied with these schools as well. good luck.
