Just a reminder about the Harris Teeter "Bark in the Park" this saturday. It is free, and a nice way to meet other fellow dog lovers!

Winston,
Thanks for the info. Do I have to register my dog before I take him with us on Saturday? I've read that you can only take your pet if it is registered at the park. Is that true? We'd love to check it out on Saturday as it's supposed to be a beautiful day.

Hi St.Maarten,
The park is open and free for the day for this event. It will give you a good opportunity to see if you want to get a "pooch pass" for all of the off-leash parks. I have been to this event several times, and my pooch & I both had a fun day. You will need your health records in order to be admitted however. Here is a quote from the Bark in the Park Website:

Q.What records are needed for my dog to get into the Davie Off Leash Dog Park for free?

A. The records must be current, within the last year. The three vaccinations are Rabies with tag number, DHLPP and Bordetella. Bring these and you can enter dog park at no cost on Harris Teeter/Purina Bark In The Park Day or you can purchase a pooch pass on site. You must also have proof of residence, (NC or SC drivers license or current utility bill) to purchase a pooch pass.
