Saw something today on the patio that was freaky. Looked like a big palmetto bug(roach) but it had two gigantic eyes and it would hop straight up when we tried to kill it. Any ideas on what this creature might have been?
Eeewww! I think bugguy is right! It's actually really nice having a bug expert on the forum.
So I have one for the bugguy. About a month ago DH took labby out for his AM walk and noticed a couple of slugs in the street. Upon closer inspection they were groups of worms in slime moving slowly and coming/oozing from the lawn. We searched the web and couldn't find anything. We sprayed them and haven't seen anymore. Any idea's?
Not sure without a better description. We have several species of slugs, snails, worms and leeches around here.

Well, it was a bunch of worms just moving in a huge mass, one mass looked like it had a white large larve in the center. They were all like a quarter of an inch maybe and like I said it was just a gooey/slimey moving mass. they were just seeping out of one area of our grass. We thought maybe maggots but they wern't that big. Definately not a slug or snail. The mass was as large as a big slug and at first apperance that what it looked like until further inspection.
