So the anniversary is coming up in a few weeks and I wanted to take my wife for a really good dinner, maybe somewhere uptown. Cost is a non-issue, I want something memorable (and really good).

Have any suggestions?

We always go to The Melting Pot. It's so romantic, and a different dining experience. You get to go as slow as you like, and the food is insane!!

Best meal I have had in a very long time - Dresslers at Birkdale Village. They also have great specials during restaurant week.

I say either Morton's for really good food but it is not exactly romantic. Or Sole on East Blvd. Very good food and romantic setting. Just request that they not seat you in the row or booth/chair tables they have. You wind up sitting on the same booth as other people kind of elbow to elbow. The lighting is nice and dark which adds to the romance. The food is more of a European blend mostly spanish. Like gambos al pil pil and really good rack of lamb.

Hubby & I went to Lava Bistro (near UNCC area) for Valentines Day. The food & atmosphere were excellent! It's in a shopping center with a cute little lake, it was a great date spot!

Charlotte Restaurants - Charlotte NC Restaurants - Fine Dining Charlotte

The Fig Tree is a locally owned beautiful restaurant in a resotred house close to uptown. For my money it's the best, most romantic place in town.
