Was at Ballantyne Village last night watching with some amount of amusement a couple of parked convertable Merc's with there tops down getting rained on. Yes I know I am evil lol.

How could one help but snicker a bit? Thunderstorms are very common in the evening/night in the summer. Sounds like someone wasn't thinking!!!
Of course, if someone moved here two years ago - in the drought - maybe they wouldn't know that.
This is the first Spring and Summer that have seemed normal to me since I moved back here. The weather we have had so far in 2009 feels like NC as I always knew it growing up. The previous years have just been weird - drought, temps so high in Spring and Summer . . . I hope we are in a cycle that stays this way for many years.
I checked our rain gage this am and it was barely to the first line, so maybe a 16th of an inch, nothing close to the near 2 inches on Tues AM.
Thank goodness the thunder doesn't bother Labby, I certainly don't need an 82 pound dog vying for bed space. He just sleeps right through.
Brian, good to hear you got pounded.
We got nothing here in MT. Holly...AGAIN!!!!
Nada zip.... so I still must ask the question of the post. Where the HELL are those damn thunderstorms!!!!!
My lawn looks like a carpet haystack at this point.
P.S> I know there was ton of rain to the north and east this time. So the south , north and east have all gotten their share this week...Us to the west....no
