I saw an advert in the Charlotte airport at the baggage rotator last night for doctors who make hotel house calls but I was too feverish to think straight to write down the number, assumed the hotel would have the same info. I need a doctor to come to the hotel, we will have to wait hours in triage otherwise.

Since we arrived this morning from London, we have no physician yet.

Does anyone know (the hotel has no clue) of such a service? The only thing I can find is a service which requires registration 72 hours prior to travel.

Thanks.

I will look into it for you. Meanwhile, have you considered going to one of our Urgent Care Clinics? These are better than emergency rooms (when you aren't having a heart attack or dying) and the waiting time is MUCH less - usually you get seen very quickly. What end of town are you on? I will see what I can find out.

Thanks much, I did not know about Urgent Care Centers. I googled as much and found something local. So that will work, I think. I usually rely on self care for everything, but I've got lymph node swelling that's getting a lot worse over time and looking a couple months pregnant can't be good! It's probably just strep but I need to get a proper dx.

Thanks again!

Default CVS Minute Clinic

Another quick option, if it is nothing critical, is the Minute Clinics at the CVS Drug Store - Lord, knows, there is a CVS on every corner these days. They can handle minor emergencies in a snap!

I went to this one last Saturday, thinking I might have had strep as well.. In & out in 30 minutes. It cost me $50 with insurance, but a woman next to me could not find her insurance card & it was $170 for her.

Good luck!
