Hello,

I'm starting a new job Sept. 15th and have to find a place to live quickly. I have two children in HS and want to rental something in the Myers Park High School District. I've been searching on the internet but only found one - Colony. If anyone can recommend some rental property I would appreciate it. If everything works out, I would probably buy in 6mo to 1 year.

Thanks!

I've got a rental house in the Myers Park district, but I'm not crazy about taking a tentant for only 6 mos.

Maybe you should leave out that tidbit...

I'd highly recommend a "drive-through" to search for "For Rent" signs... I haven't had to advertise my rentals in years.

What type of rental property - how much is it? I would consider signing a year lease.

I currently have a 3000sqft home for sale in the Myers Park HS District. I would consider renting for a year lease. This home is in the Cotswold area, a quick commute to Uptown if that is where your new job is located. You can view the property at this link http://search.savvyandcompany.com/id...es_344242.html

Your home is lovely. Just wondering what kind of rent you'd expect to get on it?

The MPHS catchment area is broad (the school is in 28209 - I'm pretty sure parts of 28203, 28205, 28207, 28209, 28210, 28211 and maybe even 28226 are zoned for this school - here's a link to this year's catchment map - http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/cmsdepartme...ersPark_HS.pdf). You should be able to find a lot of homes, apartments and townhomes for rent in the area simply b/c things aren't selling as quickly as they once were.

A real estate agent should be able to help you find a rental quickly if you aren't in the area to look around on your own. Allen Tate has a large relocation center in South Park (near the high school).

Hi Native Son! I am looking to move to the area next month. Does your place happen to be up for rent at this time? Thanks
