Friends,
Please suggest me a good beach which is not very far from Charlotte (5-6 hrs is fine). I plan to spend long weekend there, please suggest keeping in mind that there should be activities to be done for us. It will be for a group of 3-4 young people. Thanks- snitins

Drive times to the major beach areas:
Outer Banks (Nags Head, Duck, Carolla) 7-8 hours
Crystal Coast / Bogue Banks 5-6 hours
Wrightsville, Holden, Topsail, Sunset beaches 4-5 hours
Wilmington / Cape Fear area 4 hours
Myrtle Beach / Grand Strand 3-4 hours
Charleston / Kiawah / Folly Beach 3 hours
Edisto Island / Beaufort 3.5 hours
Hilton Head / Savannah / Tybee 4 hours

about all the beaches are quiet family beaches
Myrtle has wide variety of activities but depends on what you like to do for fun.
Outer banks I would recommend taking a week verses a weekend because it such a relaxing place to be but you can explore 4 light houses , kayak around Nags Head, Take a 4x4 tour to see the wild horses, Hang glide, parasail or kiteboard.

I think it's less than 7-8 hours to Duck...but I haven't driven it yet.
It took about 4 hours from Greensboro.
