This afternoon Friday March 26th

The shiny cars, photo opportunities, friendly conversation and the burnout
are what continue to pull people monthly to the Oakboro Cruise-In.
The Stanly County event pulls in around 6,000 or so people and 500 cars if the weather is pretty.

Oakboro is one of the greatest small towns in Central NC. Some of my best childhood memories are from the 4th of July Celebrations there (which are really something for such a small town). My Brother went to the Cruise-In last weekend and said it was great until the rain started...
