Live in MI, tired of the cold. Coming to area in few weeks. Looking for suggestions for places to visit and things to do. We enjoy the outdoors & good food. Looking for areas away from the city for housing.

lauralatasch,

Just curious to what areas you might of visited on the last trip down and what new areas you would be visiting on the next trip to the area?

We found that the areas north east of Chattanooga toward Dayton to be very inviting and there was plenty of things to do plus the people are super friendly.

Default 1st visit

We spent some time driving around north of Chattanooga, was beautiful but weather didn't really cooperate. We ended up visiting the aquarium and walked by the river downtown. We are coming back in a few days and plan on doing more of the 'tourist' things like Lookout Mountain & cruise on the Belle.

I heard it rains a lot in Knoxville area. I hope that’s not the case there.
