Hey all,

Wife and I are coming to Chattanooga for a 3-day visit at the end of this month. We have no specific plans whatsoever; we'd just like to enjoy the city and maybe do 1 or 2 outdoorsy things. Its January, so we don't expect to go rafting or anything like that; but we enjoy hiking and general appreciators of nature.
If anyone wants to put an item or two on the "must see!" list, or wants to suggest some cool neighborhoods to tour, or anything else that might be a wild card... we'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

RustedFox.

Not a local, but we went last summer for a few days and had a great time. This is what we did:

Chickamauga

Hiked off Signal Point (and then had an amazing lunch at Hummingbird Pastaria on Signal Mountain). Julia Falls Overlook was awesome.

Walked around Coolidge Park and across the bridge to Rembrandt's

Drove up Lookout Mountain to Sunset Rock (this was awesome). Had ice cream at Clumpie's in St. Elmo beforehand. The incline railway up to Point Park would be a similar alternative.

Had awesome meals at the Flying Squirrel and Urban Stack

Things we didn't get to do, but want to: The Hot Chocolatier, Cloudland Canyon, Lula Lake (check and see if it is open when you are there)
