We live in Florida and just built a lake home in Grundy County just 8 miles east of Palmer or a mile past Grundy High School. In fact we go to the Wagon Wheel for breakfast in Palmer -- great place! I can tell you the high and lows ..... mostly highs with concerns on healthcare and shopping. Since you are working in city that seems like less of a concern. The locals are fantastic ---- just go to L & L Plumbing / Mart at Junction 108 and 56 and see. Also, Mary's at that junction is a good place to get current on local news and food is plentiful.
