We have been looking all over for the "right" suburb of Chicago. We need good commute to downtown Chicago, good schools, safe neighborhood, family friendly, etc.
Could it be Elmhurst? What can some of you tell me about Elmhurst? It would be great if we could be near the metra for my husband. Are there good parks there? What is there for a typical family with young kids?
Thanks.

I know, I have been reading some of them. What about the local high school? Anyone know anything about Immanuel Lutheran?

Default York is Elmhurst's high school...

I have posted some detailed history of how York has performed.

Immanual Luthern strikes me as a nice enough church community, if you want a non-public school lots of people like Timothy Christian, and there are also those who prefer the Catholic offering at Immaculate Conception.
