Just curious, how's the parking situation at the Metra Electric Matteson station? Can you arrive around 7am and still park? Is it free parking?

What is the correct pronunciation of that town? Matt-son, or Matt-a-son? The latter often gets confused with the capital of Wisconsin.

I'm not sure. I've parked in the Matteson Metra station countless times but never in the morning.

I can tell you something I do know though. If you're coming home late (after 10PM), make sure you have a little bit of change. There's this damn metal bar that comes down that doesn't let you leave the parking lot. If you don't have change, at least have a companion who can lift it up while you drive through.

Usually parking is free though.

The correct pronunciation is Matt-a-son but people say it incorrectly so as not to be confused with Madison, WI. Also because of habit.

There's actually a Facebook group for this: There is an "e" in the middle of Matteson, PRONOUNCE IT! | Facebook

I have never heard anyone say Matt-a-son.
