Hi! My landlord just raised my rent by almost 10%. I've been living in my current apartment for almost 2 years now and I'm looking to see if anyone on the forum has an apartment available for rent. My budget is 2k and looking for at least 900sqft. The reason I ask is because I found my current apartment two years ago on this forum.

Areas of interest: Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Old Town, Gold Coast, River West, West Loop. I have a small car. Could also consider further away areas to the north of Chicago close to public transporation.

I've been touring some apartments, but they all were in terrible condition.

Thanks!

Alfredo

Lake View is the cheapest among these, and the last thing I read stated that the median Lake View apartment is around $2,300 per month. 900 square feet is a fairly large rental. The other neighborhoods/communities are even higher than Lake View. You might find something, but it is unreasonable to think that a below-average price is going to get you an above-average apartment.

Wow, prices really went up during the last year! I guess that I'll just stay here then!
