Hi, my husband and I are relocating to Aurora. We have two school aged children with autism. Our youngest is extremely high functioning while our oldest is a little less so, though still quite independent. I was wondering if anyone has any information on where to find a local advocate and what I can expect out of the school with regards to services. My children both previously qualified for ABA, OT, and Speech at their school. Also, my oldest was in an autism class with a small student to staff ratio and the class utilized ABA and TEACCH techniques. To the best of your knowledge is there anything similar here? I'm just wondering what to expect so I can have an idea of what requests I can reasonably and realistically make. Also, are there any autism groups? Or sports teams/activities anyone can recommend?
