Metra's Milwaukee North line is getting new express trains to Deerfield and Lake Forest northbound in AM southbound in PM. Only 40 minutes or so. It often takes that Long to get from Lake Cook to the junction in the afternoon so it seems like a good idea. Im sure some North Shore residents will use them for evening entertainment as well. Your thoughts?

New reverse-commute Metra trains for Lake County workers to begin next week

I don't see how this benefits residents near the Deerfield and West Lake Forest stations at all. I don't see myself utilizing the service at all. Metra service usually is not running by the time I have finished with my weekend nightlife, and this doesn't change that problem.

Not as far as I see based on schedules published. These trains are intended for city dwellers to have better access to major lake county employment corridor(s). There are no later evening express trains planned AFAIK.
Economies of scale combined with still overall low off peak demand. An unfortunate double whammy ;(
