Hi everyone, I am new here and need to take a driving test to get my license. Where do you recommend taking it in the suburbs? Is it easy and what do the instructors make you do? Thanks

I'm a high school teacher, and I hear a lot of students say it's easier in Libertyville than in Deerfield. My own experiences at the DMV in Deerfield (the employees are incredibly rude, even by government employee standards) support this conclusion. From what I've heard, most people pass the test the first time, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

You don't have to live in Lombard to take your test there. I took my test in Lombard over 30 years ago. As long as you know your stuff; hand over hand, 3 point turn, residential speed limit you should do fine. When I took the test we did not have to parallel park and I doubt that has changed, but when my daughter took her test here in SC she had to. That was the hardest thing for her to learn. FWIW I had to take my test 3 times to pass and I've known lots of kids that didn't pass the first time.
