Does anyone know of a centralized location online that compares property taxes within the Chicago region?

Thanks,

It's a shame that we don't have a good lead on this yet. Surely, there's a database of property tax rates by municipality. I know, I've been putting this off too long, so your SEPT post finally prompts me to do that. Thanks!

Find a house on realtor.com and its price

Look it up at your assessors office

Thats for Lake County.

The property taxes are ugly and insane. Northern Illinois is practically socialist. Good luck finding a house with reasonable property taxes.

Wow. Thank You, Lake. Thank You, DuPage. I've just come from all three of your links offered here. Guess I had forgotten that lower tax rates are typically balanced by higher purchase points, but those DuPage links in particular gave me a chance to see all of that right up-front by town.
