I don't think so. I've never met anybody off here, but have met plenty off the internet...(i'm not talking match or meetup, but other message boards/etc)

Meeting new people can be tough. It can take up to a solid year before you establish a new social circle. You really just need to put yourself out there. Join some groups, play some sports etc.
