Hi, I am going to relocate to Chicago in early 2008 and my job is going to be in downtown (Clark St. @ Upper Wacker Dr.). Could you please suggest a nice/safe low-rise neighborhood with single family houses at commute distance (max. 40 min. by car or public transpo) from downtown? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanks!

These questions are impossible to answer without a price range. What can you afford to pay? 200K? 2M?
