Too bad. He did a very good job on Law & Order filling almost impossible shoes in Jerry Orbach. Very believable and good in that role, and kept the show rolling for a few more years.

There's a great YouTube clip with him as Lt. Mike Torello in "Crime Story" ( "It's Dead"). This was in the series' opening show, and really gives you a feel for early 60s, JFK -era Chicago, and the overall style of the show. Great attention to detail, and great music...

Dennis Farina, with little "professional" training, becomes an actor who absolutely commands the stage, thoroughly upstaging anyone with fancy theatrical credits. You could feel the intensity of Torello right through your TV screen, and he didn't have to say a word...

Yes ..heard an interview last night with Tom Dreesen .. it was obvious that he was a natural at 'holding his own' with the 'giants' - example was 'Midnight Run' with Robert DeNiro .. the two hit it off very well ..

I need to re-watch some of the early "Crime Story' - i remember watching the opening show, that began with Del Shannon (1.1 ..found out he re-recorded the opening for Michael Mann) ...that worked !!

Ex Chicago cop they say. Did he take a pension or did he pull down his money? If he was getting any type pension the city should cut off those checks. No check come 1 Aug 2013.

This is what you're concerned about at 4 in the morning? How about paying a little respect, and keep your crap comments to yourself.
