I'd move away to the west coast probably. Anywhere where the black people are more tolerant. Chicago black people suck. They are very racist and ignorant. I feel sorry for most of them because their attitudes are a direct result of growing up in black ghettos with backwards cultures. They lack awareness overall and are not familiar with living and appreciating people of different cultures. I visited California a few times and the black people there were "normal". No funny looks, no stupid comments, nothing close to the racism here. And i think it's because they're a lot more accustomed to living with non-blacks. They understand that people are different and dont fear white people and cultures. So yeah I would go where the blacks are more tolerant.

Michigan! Around the lake somewhere, maybe Harbor Country or up in the middle by the lake.. or Holland. its all good. i mean even the trees are different than the usual trees here in Illinois.

but then it gets too much snow and im beginning to hate it… so i might have to go south like Indianapolis or maybe Iowa by the river so i can go canoing! somewhere full of trees by a lake or river, like by the Mississippi or Fox Lake, but thats in Illinois but something like it. but WARMER than chicago winters. like 30 degrees or higher in winter. i may have to go to Tennessee.

Go to law school, then. By the end of those 3 years, a thousand posts a day on a message board is easier than breathing.

I would think that law school is being discouraged pretty heavily right now--if I was a young man in his 20s, I'd certainly think long and hard about enrolling....

Not hypothetical for me - I left. Job market was awful, weather is miserable and made everyone else miserable in turn (I do NOT miss the non-stop complaining. Now, I only hear it when I call), taxes, traffic...I could go on.

I miss my family, friends, and the stunning skyline. Little else.

Not a hypothetical for me. It is quickly being spoken into existence. Not the excommunicated part, but the relocation, DEFINITELY. I have lived in Chicago my entire life, but this winter has driven my relocation itch like no other... If I am to be excommunicated, it is by Old Man Winter, windy city style!!!

I am actively researching a move to the SF/Oakland area by the fall... I don't think my sanity can handle another winter...I need to preserve it, got a long productive life to live *fingers crossed*

Why SF/Oakland? I visited there last July and fell in love, with the energy, the bay, the smells from the marina (minus the strong smell of reefer being smoked in the wide open lol), the bridges, the fog, all of it. Plus I was conceived there, so I think it is in my DNA by osmosis. I felt home.
