Default Al's House

Al Capone lived at 7244 South Prairie in Chicago; a house that still stands and is occupied by locals.

It hasn't hanged much since 1919.

BTW, thanks for linking my Blues Brothers map.

[quote=NSH;2456063]Did you know the City of Chicago still has a working farm within her limits? 111th and Pulaski, the Chicago High School for Agricultural Science now operates the farm (unsure if they still have livestock however).

They do.
A couple of summers ago they had a pig get loose on Pulaski, if I recall correctly. My boys' used to go see the cows after playing at Mt. Greenwood Park down the Street.

That statue used to be inside the lobby of police HQ at 11th and State. They named a housing project after the IL governor who pardoned the [wrongfully] convicted Haymarket rioters (and ruined his political career): Altgeld Gardens.

Did you know that Chicago is corupt?
Did you know that there are a lot of poor people in Chicago who go with out food every night?
Did you know that kids get a better education if their parents have more money?
All sad but true (the turtles make it seem brighter)

Man. Why don't the poor people move out of Chicago? I'm sure they would have ample food and access to the same educational opportunities as rich folks do if they lived anywhere else.

Oh. Wait. Someone's telling me something in my earpiece. They're saying...
What's that? These socioeconomic disparities aren't unique to Chicago? The gap between haves and have-nots is a virtual certainty in a capitalist society and can be seen throughout the US and to an even greater scale in nations like Brazil?

I'm shocked.

I like the one about turtles, though.
