Only that section is deserted. If you were around Halsted and Lake/Randolph then it's not necessarily deserted. HOWEVER, Gold Coast has a number of people out around a number of areas (i.e. Division between about Clark and State, Viagra Triangle and down to Connors Park, etc).

True, around Greektown, its busier. I was thinking of the west loop being deserted (after work hours) till Restaurant Row and Greektown.
