Someone told me that you can still do the tour in the winter time?? I have a hard time believing that.

Apparently, you can do the architecture tour even in the winter.

The architecture center tour goes from late March (it starts this weekend) to around Veterans Day. Other companies may go longer, but the river freezes so I don’t think there are any companies that can offer the tour in January and February. It just gets too cold.

I work by the river and I've been seeing the boats the last few days. They were full too, so people are out doing the tours.

The big boats I think might go all winter but they are not the architectural cruises. They are all enclosed and they are like dinner or brunch cruises.

I don't think any are truly year-round, but they're definitely not only warm months. I'm pretty sure there are at least a few cruises 9, maybe even 10 months a year.

Good morning, I've even taken a round trip Water Taxi ride from Chinatown to downtown, just to go for a boat ride. It's a nice way to see Chicago differently. It's nice to get up and close to the buildings and the energy of people downtown. The kids love it, and I do, too! Enjoy the day!- Master Jay in Milwaukee
