What do you think of the area around Southport and Webster? I am looking at an apartment near that area. I am a 20-something female.

Thanks!

It's not quite as charming as the blocks just east of there, and the intersection of Clybourn and Webster is a total zoo with snarled car traffic. But it is a nice, safe, convenient area to live.

It is a nice area. Close enough to the fancy restaurants on halsted and close to the lincoln, fullerton, halsted depaul intersection so they'll probably be a lot of college aged people living there.

As the poster above me said, that stretch of Clybourn is a bit of a traffic nightmare but I doubt you'll have much of a parking issue on your own street if it is permit.
