I know it's not quite October but just thought to write. I've only been to Chicago once and loved it but that was quite awhile ago and it was with my daughter and a bus load of teenagers...and I still loved it. My friend is not really fond of cities and I love them. Any ideas of interesting, out of the ordinary things we could do? We are late 50s but not willing to act it. Not interested in doing a lot of shopping but could be if there are areas that have unusual items. Also might be fun to browse the Prada areas just for the heck of it. Restaurants, not necessarily upscale but different, good food, local-type hangouts. We're not big on museums...I loved the pier area...This is just hopefully going to be a relaxing trip where we just hang out and not stick to a rigid schedule...but am looking for a framework since she is not comfortable in big cities. She's not been to Chicago but wants to check it out...so I guess a little game plan might be helpful. I just have somehow gotten stuck again in a small town and am dying to get to a city again.
