I once had rats in my Lincoln Park basement that turned a wood door frame into wood chips. It actually looked like the lower two feet of the door frame had been put into a chipper. I have no idea why they did this, but they sure left a lot of droppings afterwards.

I had a rat in my apartment once. The damn thing tore apart my kitchen. We went rounds for a couple of days until the poison and trap finally worked. I can't imagine what a pack of 'em would be like (shudders).
